"Big thanks to Ride for Charlie for supporting my trip to race the 3 Nations Cup in Oldenzaal. I was met with a perfectly running course after some rain the day before and a new rock garden only added to the testing course making for super fast, punchy racing. After frying my legs navigating through the field from 79th I had a super close sprint finish crossing the line in 18th securing a top 20."

"A huge thanks to Ride for Charlie for helping me get out to the first round of the 3 Nations cup in the Netherlands. The course in Oldenzaal was super fast and flowy with some great A lines where line choice was key to holding the most speed. After some illness in the week leading up I didn’t know how my legs would be but I gave it my all managed to lead for the first two laps before I slowly fell back as fatigued kicked in so happy to hold onto the podium though and managed 5th, I am so grateful for this experience which without Ride for Charlie wouldn’t have been possible’

"Thank you to Ride for Charlie for helping me get out to the Three Nations Cup in Oldenzaal again, for my first UCI Elite race which did not disappoint. The course was even better than last year, with new A-line features. I had a lot of fun racing here again and was able to pick up some new skills, on a very fast and relentless course. Happy to be able to finish in 9th place against a very strong field. But would not have been possible without the support from Ride for Charlie :)"

"A huge thanks to ride for Charlie for helping me get out to Greece to race two UCI C1 races in Sparta earlier this month. The experience was great learning what it’s like to race in an international field at elite level, I was happy with my results finishing 14th elite on Thursday and 8th in the U23 race on the Saturday. It was a great trip organised by Crank It racing and I am super grateful for Ride For Charlie’s support over the week."
Thanks again,
Harry Howlett

"Massive thanks to Ride for Charlie for helping me get out to Spain to race for 3 weeks. First up was La Nucia - a super fun and fast course which I loved. Next was chelva where I had a really good start and felt confident on the rocky techy features but I punctured and lost places on the 3rd lap and so just enjoyed the course and the race atmosphere for the last lap. I was really excited for Banyoles as it’s been one I’ve wanted to do for a while. Unfortunately I got a bit sick the day before so I wasn’t sure if I was going to race. I rode it anyway and just tried to enjoy it as best I could. I’m so grateful to have had the support for this experience to able to race at this level with the best in the world. I did loads of riding around Spain as well and I’m so lucky to have been able to explore these new places on my bike in the sun - it wouldn’t have been possible without the support from Ride for Charlie."

Charlie was a special boy who went to sleep on Friday the 20 January and didn’t wake up, he was 15. He left his family and friends in a state of shock and an incredible hole in our hearts. We miss him more every day.
Our aim is to support young off road cyclists, who are or would have been inspired by Charlie to follow in his pedal strokes. Our vision is to allocate funding to self motivated young individuals, who will be appraised for eligibility by the trustees.
We want to hear from young boys and girls age 14 and above who ride off- road bikes and have been inspired by stories of Charlie and his life.
