Recently I travelled to the MTB World Cup in Leogang, Austria. The trip started with a bit of drama when our flights were cancelled the day before my first race and we ended up driving 16 hours to get there but this all added  to the adventure! The XCC on Thursday was on quite a unique course with a large amount of elevation each lap but I had a good race which secured me a second row start for the XCO race. The main XCO race also went well and I came away with 12th place in the end after a lot of tussling for position all race. It was great to race on a new course which like the shorttrack was very hilly but also really fun! Made a slight mistake with my tactics on the last lap attacking at the beginning but completely forgetting the difficulty of the second half of the lap resulting in me completely cracking on the final climb and losing some positions but overall the race and experience was a lot of fun.
