Xan at Tabor
Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be given a spot at Tabor World Cup in the Czech Republic. On Friday evening I flew with my two bikes to Prague, due to the drive from home to Tabor taking 16 hours!

This weekend I went to Ireland to race the @vergesport_uk_irl @crossclonmel , it was a fantastic experience and a great weekend that I learned a lot from, I had 4 various mechanicals throughout the race which meant the chasing group caught me, leading to some heated final laps! I could not have raced if I did not receive the @rideforcharlie funding so I am extremely grateful.
This weekend I raced the UCI Clonmel Cross in Ireland and it was my first muddy and technical race of the season. Last year I rode this race in very sunny and dry conditions but this year it was good to face the mud! Racing in the elite women’s category it was great to come 3rd and then 1st junior. This race for me wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of Ride For Charlie – thank you.
Big Thankyou to RideForCharlie for supporting my trip to race in Ireland at the Clonmel UCI Cross. The first muddy and slippy race of the season for me. The conditions changed every lap due to the weather making it very slippery in places. I am happy to come away with 5th place too after a good battle! This trip wouldn’t have been possible without the support from RideForCharlie
I had a brilliant time racing in Ireland at the UCI Cross Clonmel, the course was lots of fun and I had a good race coming second junior and fifth overall in the women’s elite category. Many thanks to Ride For Charlie for the support.
Massive thanks to ride for Charlie for making it possible for me to compete in my first international cyclocross race this weekend at Cross clonmel. Had an amazing time on a fun course and gaining lots of experience.
The Clonmel UCI Cross was a great event, my first time racing in Ireland so it was a great experience that I enjoyed in some tough conditions, I finished 3rd overall, after a few crashes and mechanicals I’m pleased with how it went. It would not of been possible without the support from RideforCharlie.
Thank you RideForCharlie for helping to make my trip to Bilbao possible. I have had a great time racing the cross duathlon at the ETU Multi sport championships where I came 6th in my category and 23rd out of 130 across the field. I have waited 2 years for the championships to go ahead after them being cancelled twice due to covid so it was great for it to finally go ahead. It was a very tough race with a steep 8k run first, followed by a 20k MTB route which consisted of long climbs and technical descents and then finally finishing on a 3k run. I had a lot of fun and gained experience that I can use in future races.
“Mountain Bike Marathon worlds In Denmark was a great experience and adventure. It was my first time in Denmark, first time racing for GB and my first time racing my MTB outside the uk.
Charlie was a special boy who went to sleep on Friday the 20 January and didn’t wake up, he was 15. He left his family and friends in a state of shock and an incredible hole in our hearts. We miss him more every day.
Our aim is to support young off road cyclists, who are or would have been inspired by Charlie to follow in his pedal strokes. Our vision is to allocate funding to self motivated young individuals, who will be appraised for eligibility by the trustees.
We want to hear from young boys and girls age 14 and above who ride off- road bikes and have been inspired by stories of Charlie and his life.
