Big thanks to Ride for Charlie for supporting my trip to race the 3 Nations Cup in Oldenzaal. I was met with a perfectly running course after some rain the day before and a new rock garden only added to the testing course making for super fast, punchy racing.
A huge thanks to Ride for Charlie for helping me get out to the first round of the 3 Nations cup in the Netherlands. The course in Oldenzaal was super fast and flowy with some great A lines where line choice was key to holding the most speed.
Thank you to Ride for Charlie for helping me get out to the Three Nations Cup in Oldenzaal again, for my first UCI Elite race which did not disappoint. The course was even better than last year, with new A-line features.
A huge thanks to ride for Charlie for helping me get out to Greece to race two UCI C1 races in Sparta earlier this month. The experience was great learning what it’s like to race in an international field at elite level, I was happy with my results finishing 14th elite on Thursday and 8th in the U23 race on the Saturday.
Massive thanks to Ride for Charlie for helping me get out to Spain to race for 3 weeks. First up was La Nucia – a super fun and fast course which I loved. Next was chelva where I had a really good start and felt confident on the rocky techy features but I punctured and lost places on the 3rd lap and so just enjoyed the course and the race atmosphere for the last lap.
I am so grateful to Ride For Charlie for the support they gave me, helping me to compete at my first xco race of the year in Chelva, Spain. The race was super tough against a strong field and the pace was high from the very start.
After trying to make the trip across to Europe a couple of times this season and having lots of disruptions in the process, I finally got a window of opportunity to get out to Belgium to do a couple of post National Champs races.
I managed to get two trips in over the season racing in Kortrijk, Loenhout and Borgloon.
Thanks to @rideforcharlie for supporting me again in doing a round of the Exact Cross series in Zonnebeke last weekend. The race was super fast on a completely frozen track where you had to trust your equipment and ability to keep you upright!
Charlie was a special boy who went to sleep on Friday the 20 January and didn’t wake up, he was 15. He left his family and friends in a state of shock and an incredible hole in our hearts. We miss him more every day.
Our aim is to support young off road cyclists, who are or would have been inspired by Charlie to follow in his pedal strokes. Our vision is to allocate funding to self motivated young individuals, who will be appraised for eligibility by the trustees.
We want to hear from young boys and girls age 14 and above who ride off- road bikes and have been inspired by stories of Charlie and his life.
