Thanks to Ride for Charlie I made the trip to Italy to take part in the final round of the UCI gravel world series. My goal was to try and qualify for the world champs, which I just missed out on, but I’m pleased to have come so close in what was one of the hardest races I’ve done. It was an amazing experience on terrain which was new to me and I’m really grateful for the opportunity
Thank you, Ride for Charlie, for making the trip happen. With a great technical course with lots of technical ups and downs. Unluckily on the first lap I smashed my wheel.
Thank you Ride for Charlie for making the trip to The 3 Nations MTB race in Houffilize possible. It was a technical course which I thoroughly enjoyed . I’ve never been to Belgium before and so this was a great experience.
Thank you to ride for Charlie for the support which allowed me to go to the round of the 3 nations cup in Houffalize, Belgium which was also my first race outside of the UK.
Last weekend I travelled to Houffalize in Belgium to compete in the Three Nations Cup. This was my first MTB-XC race away from the UK, so I was pretty exited to have the opportunity.
Thank you to Ride for Charlie for supporting my latest trip to the 3Nations Cup in Houffalize, Belgium. We were met with a very technical and steep course that was covered in roots and rocks.
Thanks to ride for Charlie, I was able to race at the 3 nations cup in Houfallize, which was a great experience and one of the most technical courses I’ve raced on.
After a busy season of National races, I decided it was time to have a go at a World Cup. As my first unsupported race abroad there were plenty of logistics to work out, but I finally made it to Lenzerheide where I met up with Sam Chisholm to share the rest of the trip.
Recently I travelled to the MTB World Cup in Leogang, Austria. The trip started with a bit of drama when our flights were cancelled the day before my first race and we ended up driving 16 hours to get there but this all added to the adventure!
Charlie was a special boy who went to sleep on Friday the 20 January and didn’t wake up, he was 15. He left his family and friends in a state of shock and an incredible hole in our hearts. We miss him more every day.
Our aim is to support young off road cyclists, who are or would have been inspired by Charlie to follow in his pedal strokes. Our vision is to allocate funding to self motivated young individuals, who will be appraised for eligibility by the trustees.
We want to hear from young boys and girls age 14 and above who ride off- road bikes and have been inspired by stories of Charlie and his life.
