Recently I travelled to Belgium and The Netherlands to experience some cyclocross racing with the help and support of Ride for Charlie. I arrived in Calais on the Friday evening, ready to drive across to Herenthout in Belgium for a race on Saturday morning.
Recently, with the help of Ride 4 Charlie funding I travelled to Belgium and to Holland to race my first cyclocross races in Europe!
Last weekend I competed in the Clonmel UCI race over in Ireland, where I finished 1st in the junior category. I managed to lead the race from the start and increase my gap the whole race on a fast and fun course.
At the weekend I travelled to Ireland to compete in Ireland’s first ever UCI cyclocross race, they had made a great course with man made bridges,
We were able to support the inter Regional mtb RideForCharlie team in August. Thank you to all the riders for their brilliant effort and smiles.
I’m so grateful to Ride for Charlie for supporting me in my last youth European MTB Champs.
I had a great time and experience racing at a Junior World Series in Granichen, Switzerland. It was really hot which made for some tough racing conditions.
My month in Europe was an interesting one! It didn’t quite work out as intended but nonetheless it was rich with positivity and experience.
I had a great weekend away racing the first World Cup of the season in Tabor! It felt great to finally be able to properly start my season after having so many cancelled races.
I couldn’t thank RideForCharlie enough for the support given and the opportunities that have arisen as a result. I have had a fab time heading out to Belgium the past two weekends to race at the Merksplas Superprestige and Kortrijk X20 Badkamers Trofee.
